Get ready for Memorial Day!
In a little over a week the entire country will be taking a weekend to celebrate Memorial Day. We’ll all strap on our red, white, and blue gear and hit the parades and picnics.

My oldest toddler is in a pre-school type program within his older brother’s day center. It is extremely helpful in getting work done as well as accomplishing chores around the house weekly.

Hidden Dangers!
Believe it or not, there are so many things in our day-to-day life that are unsafe for our toddlers. Because we are so used to having these items around the house — and allowing our older children to use them — it’s easy to forget the risk they pose to our toddlers. I had never even thought about some of these unsafe things until I started writing this.

Father of 5!
When most of us see David Koechner we see Champ Kind from Anchorman, Hershall from Talladega Nights, or even Uncle Earl from Hannah Montana. But what most don’t know about this popular comedian, is he is a married father of five.
Holy five kids! Bless his heart because my three are more than enough for me.
Last week I had the opportunity to talk with David and his wife Leigh about parenting, comedy, life … you know all the fun stuff you want to chat with a celebrity about while trying not to crack jokes from one of the movies he was in. I have to say my first real celebrity experience left me knowing that while there are some real crazies in Hollywood, there are others who are down-to-earth parents — just like you and me! You are loved!
When it came to decorating our toddlers’ room we kind of let them decide what they wanted. Our middle son is pretty much obsessed with fire trucks and the Disney Pixar movie Cars, so that is what we did when we decorated it. Thankfully he outgrew dinosaurs before I had to go on a wild goose hunt for a dinosaur bedding set.
Now that Addison is a toddler I have been making small but fun changes to her nursery to help expand it into a “big girl” room as she gets older. We’ve been giving away the old stuff to those in need, and in turn making room for the new. Continue reading »

Lets face it! As your kids get bigger, you end up needing a bigger diaper bag to shlep around all the crap they need.
With three kids now, I can testify to this. I typically just pack one of those huge reusable tote bags from the grocery store and keep it in the car, restocking it up once a week.
