I’ve found some really great projects to do just that. There’s spray painting, like the photo above from the girls at The Letter 4. There are also a few fun ideas for fabric feathers and feathers made out of string.
See all the fun ways to make feathers fancy:
Where to Cruise With the Kids
We’ve been dying to go on a cruise. I’ve never been and neither has my husband. We’ve decided that if we go, we’ll take the kids with us. I always wanted to go as a kid, so we thought it would be fun to make it happen for ours!
But there are so many desinations and most are kid friendly, so we’re having a hard time choosing. There’s sunny and warm or something more fun and adventurous. Although the kids would probably like anything we did, especially with all the fun stuff to do on the boat itsefl!
Here’s where we’ve narrowed it down to:
Book Giveaway: Eco-Friendly Crafting with Kids
If you don’t already know, kids and crafting are my specialty. I’ve been around the block and know a thing or two about pipe cleaners and googly eyes!! Well, I’m hear to tell you about a new book by Kate Lilley of Mini Eco who has just come out with a whole book on crafting with kids and it’s fabulous for families! How To Create Bath Towel Animals
One thing I always seem to see in photos from people who’ve been on a cruise are the cute bath towel animals. There is almost every shape and size of animal cleverly created out of a bath towel. I’m sure my kids would go gaga for these every time the room was cleaned!
I thought it would be fun to learn to do these towel animals at home, bringing back a little bit of sea life! I’ve found these tutorials for turning your bath towel into something fabulous!

May the 4th Be With You – 10 Star Wars Crafts to Celebrate

Today is May the 4th, known to all space geeks as Star Wars Day!
To celebrate, I’ve gathered a few fun crafts to make. Really, there is not enough great crafts out there with a Star Wars theme. We are a bit geeky at our house with lots of paraphernalia all over. From posters, legos, movies, t-shirts, and crafts. We even hosted a Star Wars Birthday Party for my son when he was 6. It was a blast.
So read on for 10 crafts to celebrate this May the Fourth Be With YOU!
Handmade “LOVE” Journal for Mom

We recently made a handmade journal for mom’s everywhere. We recycled a greeting card and turned it into a journal with some extra paper, a hole punch, and some twine. I love it. I’m going to gift it to my mother.
But I also thought it would be fun to make this sweet notebook into a “love” journal. So we’re going to write down all the things we each love about Mom/Grandma. We put in enough white paper for 25 pages to share all the things we love about her! You’ll see here below how you can write on each page:
