Today on LGN I posted about a table cloth I made by painting an ikat pattern on plain white cotton. The project got me thinking about how much I love fabric dyes. They’re a brilliant way to update boring basics that are otherwise in good shape. It’s usually economical, especially if you’re considering replacing a big ticket item like your duvet or curtains! Want to see a lot of inspiring projects from around the web?

There are lots of options too–dip dye, ikat and batik patterns, even dyeing over existing color–so I found 22 fabric dye projects. Let me know if you try any of these!
