I’m lazy in the morning about doing my hair. Here are three videos that changed my morning routine forever because I can put my hair up the night before and wake up in the morning with awesome curls! Each technique works a little different based on the type of hair you have…..I prefer the Vintage Style Curls video because I have thin hair, but a lot of it.  Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing! I love the accents but the 3rd video was my favorite because it was so concise….I am just that lazy with my hair that I don’t even want to spend 8 minutes watching how to do it, I’d rather spend only 3 :) I do remember my Great Grandmother wrapping my hair in old stockings, which was more like a PollyAnna/Nelly Olson curl look.

I’m not very good with hair, so the sock bun looks easiest for me, ? though, how do you avoid having a big rubber band bump the next day?

To Renae: My daughter and I do the “sock buns”, based on that very video (#2). Instead of using a hairband the typical way to make a ponytail (which might leave a crease/mark on the hair), I use a stretchy headband to tie the hair into a ponytail, and then just untie it when I get close to it while doing the bun. This is an amazing technique and our hair always looks fab. Both of us have VERY long hair, but it has also worked on my cousin’s shoulder-length hair.

my hair is semi long.around my chest.but i have layers, does the sock bun work if u have layers?

marie commented on Oct 14 11 at 4:28 pm

Marie: I have medium length (about 3-4 inches past my shoulders) hair, with layers, and the sock bun worked for me but is definitely more difficult than without layers. Make sure when you are rolling up your hair that along the way you get all the ends tucked in and are evenly rolling it, and it should do the trick. My hair ended up with curls just at the very bottom of the top layers, which was okay. I really think it would work better with longer hair… but the vintage curls trick is fantastic for my length hair. Only problem is the back/top is pretty straight… so I usually end up with it all pushed back in a headband to make it look good. On the plus side, that means I don’t have to style my bangs that day. :) Good luck!

What tips do you have for naturally pin straight hair than NEVER holds curl?

We liked these ideas so much, we’ve posted them on our Facebook page. I have my hair in a sock bun right now. Thanks! Dede

This is an awesome website. It really helps women to adjust their hair curls.
