21 Paint Chip Craft Ideas
I have a stack of paint chips from various projects over the years. They always seem to go into a drawer – because they are so colorful that I don’t want to throw them away. Do you also have said stack of paint chips? Then you need some project ideas, because you shouldn’t let those swatches of color go to waste. They are perfect for crafting. I came up with it in freshman year of college (though it’s not an exclusively difficult idea to come up with, I’m sure). My friends told me I was crazy…guess I just needed to find some crafty people to appreciate it.
You make it by doing the standard Christmas chain out of strips of paint chips and the color can fade into others like a rainbow. Or you can choose your own colors, of course.
catnap commented on Aug 26 11 at 11:55 amEvery time I see a paint chip craft I think, “Ooooh, I’d love to do that.” I’ve even made a detour in the hardware store several times to grab a few. But I can’t help but wonder how the paint companies feel about the sudden surge in interest in their paint chips, which doesn’t correlate to purchases. Does anybody else feel a twinge of guilt?

craftyamy commented on Aug 26 11 at 9:22 pmHey all! A lot of people have them in their stash leftover from actual painting projects (like me). If you don’t, I recommend going to the paint store and asking if you can have some. My store is very kind about giving them – and most of these projects don’t take too many :D
