Guns have no place in schools. I think that most of us can agree on that. Whether carried by staff or students, the likelihood of a tragic outcome is, I believe, fairly high. Even if the weapon is never fired, its presence alone is enough alter the atmosphere and have a negative impact on the ability of students to learn. And so we have zero-tolerance policies in place at schools across the country. But how “zero” should they be?
A little boy died two years ago from choking on a toy dart, and now the Consumer Product Safety Commission has decided to do something about it. So less than two weeks before Christmas, they’re issuing a recall on the toy.

What kind of moron gives a little boy a toy gun that looks just like a real one? Apparently the same kind of moron that hasn’t taught their kid you don’t point it at someone . . . especially not to force them to hand over their toys.
