Even bestselling children’s book author Robert Munsch is no match for the terrorists. Munsch was working on a book about a little girl who snuck her favorite dolls onto an airplane when the so-called underwear bomber snuck explosives onto a Christmas Day flight.
The destruction of the World Trade Center and other attacks of September 11, 2001 have got to be some of the most horrendous acts of senseless violence ever to take place in the United States. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would paint those cowardly acts as honorable or noble. And yet, some high school students in Michigan — identified as Arab-Americans, no less — have been accused of doing just that.
There are names and there are names. And this one is a doozy.
Someone has come to their senses in the department of homeland security – an eleven-year-old who was to be deported last week has been told she can stay here in the United States.
Her mom and dad are legally allowed to stay at their home in Georgia, but an eleven-year-old child has been ordered to leave the country by July 23.
