When Angie Varona was 14, she had a boyfriend. Taking her cues from the media, she took a bunch of pictures of herself looking hot, and sent them to her boyfriend. Angie in her new sunglasses. Angie and her cat. Angie in a bikini. Angie happens to be really cute. And most of these pictures, while not really pornographic, are intended to look “sexy”. They were, after all, intended for her boyfriend.  And they all prominently feature her very prominent bazongas. On some level, this is the same thing that girlfriends of boyfriends have been doing since the dawn of time, or at least photography.

The difference now is that the photos are digital. So rather than delivering, say, a single photo of herself in a locket, Angie sent her boyfriend a link to her private Photobucket account. But somehow, the account was hacked. The photos meant for Angie’s boyfriend became accessible to the entire internet, where Angie Varona, age 14, became fodder for the masturbatory fantasies of millions of grown men.

Is this the first step toward your toddler's future first kiss?

The world of online flirtation may have just hit a new frontier. An invention from Japan claims it “can effectively transmit the feeling of a kiss” via computer communication. The device is controlled by the movements of the first user’s tongue, which are transmitted through the computer to the device in the second user’s mouth. It’s on a single computer now, but the idea is that it could be networked and deliver the kiss remotely, over the internet.

I’m a bit skeptical about the “effective” aspect, considering the machine seems to lack LIPS. Maybe that part is coming in a later incarnation. At this point, it’s a big white box with a straw sticking out of it. Not very appealing. Still, it’s a  move in the direction of that virtual reality sex stuff people have been talking about for decades (many decades, if you consider science fiction).  How long might it take for something like this to evolve into something you could buy at the store and plug into your phone? Ten years, maybe? Just in time for our kids!

Okay, I’ll admit to being something of a prude and hoping and praying my children don’t have sex until they are in college, but I have to think just about anybody would be shocked by this: a study out of Iowa State University found that one in four kids and teens between the ages of 11 to 16 in low income families are having sex.
