Sarah Palin vs. MTV: A War Over an Anti-Abortion Ad
A network accused by many of glamorizing teen pregnancies is apparently refusing to air a series of anti-abortion ads. Makes sense, right?
Not so much to the group that wants the ads to be seen. A group called Heroic Media launched an ad campaign called “We Can Help” at the end of April at an event supported by former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, a staunch anti-abortion advocate.
The group wanted the “pro-life” ads to air on MTV to air for several weeks, but they were pulled after just one time. Heroic Media said a sales representative at MTV said there was a conflict of interest with the network’s existing deal with Planned Parenthood.
Trig Truthers Should Shut Up: Sarah Palin Is Really Trig’s Mom
A recent academic paper revives the idea that Sarah Palin’s most recent pregnancy was a hoax, and that Trig Palin is really her daughter Bristol’s son. These rumors have been swirling since the 2008 presidential campaign, much like the ridiculous conspiracy theories about President Obama’s birthplace.
This new academic paper claimed to have thoroughly researched the evidence and found compelling reasons to believe a massive fraud had been pulled over on the American people. Did the Palins really pull off the biggest political hoax of our time, just to hide a teen pregnancy?
No way, says Salon.
Wonkette Post Calls Trig Palin Retarded, Huggies and Papa John’s Pull Ads

The mosaic of Trig photos used in the Wonkette post.
I have heard some horrible things uttered in the name of comedy, but one rule of thumb any comedian worth his or her salt understands is that if you are going to mock someone mercilessly, they better deserve it. (One of the reasons why you can say almost anything about Sarah Palin, for example, is because she’s purposely provocative, escalating the culture war by pushing birther buttons and claiming the media manufactured a blood libel against her.) What you can’t do, however, is throw all sense of propriety and decency out the window and write a very lengthy blog post filled with video and images that make fun of her 3-year-old son with Down Syndrome.
Some might say the heartless mockery Wonkette’s Jack Steuf displayed in his recent post “honoring” Trig on his birthday came as a direct result of refound interest in Trig’s parentage. (Proof that karma is real: those fed up with the incessant proliferation of the idea that Obama was not born in the US are once again wondering if Sarah Palin lied about being pregnant with Trig to cover up a Bristol Palin pregnancy.) Regardless, the things Steuf wrote are shocking and unbelievable and certainly have nothing to do with the political discourse. Steuf makes fun of Trig’s Down Syndrome by calling him “the great gentleman scholar” and “the magic intellectually disabled baby prop.” Then he made the biggest mistake of his life: he called Trig “the r word.” Continue reading »
Did Sarah Palin Lie About Her Pregnancy? A New Investigation Re-Opens The Question

Sarah Palin not looking very pregnant
Was Sarah Palin’s campaign-era pregnancy a hoax? A new academic paper investigating the controversy says evidence points to yes. The rumor, in case you’ve blocked it out, was that Sarah Palin lied about being pregnant with her fifth child, Trig, to cover up her teenage daughter Bristol’s pregnancy. Though the question quickly fell from the public eye, for some (perhaps more for conspiracy theorists than others) it has never really gone away.
I don’t know if Professor Bradford Scharlott of Northern Kentucky University is himself a conspiracy theorist, but he’s certainly a guy with a lot of interest in this story, having written a nearly 30 page paper on the subject.
His research has led him to believe that 1. Sarah Palin is most likely Trig’s grandmother, not his mother and 2. The media really dropped the ball on this one, and we might want to think about why.
Here’s the evidence he cites:
Hot Mama Julianne Moore to Play Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin! A Good Choice?
Personally, I would have loved to have seen Tina Fey once again portray that mom of five, conservative poster girl and ‘maverick’ Sarah Palin. But that is not what the casting gods had in store. Instead there was another mom picked to play Palin in the HBO produced film Game Change – acclaimed actress Julianne Moore. A good choice? You Bectcha! Continue reading »
Sarah Palin Calls Kathy Griffin a Bully for Picking on Her Kids

Sarah Palin wants respect for her kids.
OMG, Does Sarah Palin actually have a fair point for once?
Palin told FOX News that she thinks Kathy Griffin is a “50-year-old adult bully” for picking on Palin’s kids. Palin went on to describe Griffin as a “has-been comedienne” (who’s the bully now?), adding, “I would just ask for respect of my children. As (Griffin) had stated on CNN that her New Year’s resolution was to destroy my 16-year-old daughter, that takes it a little bit too far.”
Palin then taunts Griffin, asking her to come up to Alaska. Watch: Continue reading »
Todd Palin Affair With Shailey Tripp…As Reported By Tabloids
There have been infidelity rumors surrounding Todd Palin before. This time the alleged affair is with a massage therapist named Shailey Tripp (oddly enough Tripp is the first name of Bristol’s son) who was arrested this past March in Anchorage and charged with maintaining a house of prostitution. She was reportedly hired by a worker on Sarah Palin’s campaign team. Tripp pleaded no contest in June of last year and awaits sentencing this summer. But there’s one problem with this story. It was reported by the National Inquirer, not the major news outlets, so should we believe it?
When my daughter was just learning how to read, we were standing in line at a supermarket checkout, and the tabloids were in front of us. I paid no attention to them and didn’t notice that she had either. Later that night, she was afraid to go to sleep, and asked me if aliens were on earth. She explained that she read that aliens were at a woman’s home and I realized she had pieced together the words alien, woman and home enough to get the gist of the cover article.
I immediately dismissed the newspaper and told her how it certainly was not true because there were no aliens here on earth and she should feel safe. She sort of believed me but kept repeating “But it said it in the paper.”
