Obama Undies For Baby

Obama Undies for kidsTwistedTwee, the company behind the Nipple Tassel t-shirt for babies, has something else for sale.

Political Pants — top politicians on the bottom” has mostly non-U.S. based pols — Churchill, Thatcher, and others. But they wisely chose to include President Barack Obama, since everything with the President’s image on it sells.

My question is this. Would putting this on your kid mean that you support the President? Or that you can’t stand him? Continue reading »

Is Barack Obama Your Binky?

Barack Obama is Your New BinkyA blog post on Gawker is generating all kinds of buzz. And you know how we all love buzz. Buzz buzz.

So here it is — Barack Obama Is Your New Binky. It’s a cute pic of the President hugging a child in a tender affectionate way.

Luckily the current political climate in the United States of America is calm and rational. Who could possibly have a problem with this image?

Um…

Let’s take a look at the comments from Gawker, and see if we can do better, shall we?

Obama Defends His Ugly Jeans

obama jeans 300x180 Obama Defends His Ugly JeansIn an interview with Today Show’s Meredith Viera (short video after the jump), President Obama defended the jeans he wore to throw out the first pitch at in last week’s major league baseball All-Star game.

The jeans — a little too faded and riding a little high in the waist and at the ankle — betrayed our handsome president’s nerdy roots. (The super white running shoes and the zipped up jacket with a fitted waist only added to the cringe factor, but nobody’s talking about that, so I won’t either. )

So what does he have to say for himself? Was this his attempt at Continue reading »

They Say - White House Not Family Friendly

Rahm Emanuel says the White House is family friendly only for President Obama's familyA recent New York Times article sported the following headline:

‘Family Friendly’ White House Is Less So for Aides

This was on the front page of the paper on July 3. (Yes, I still read the Times in print.) I was curious. What big story has the Times uncovered? What’s happening in D.C.?

Parents are working long hours and missing out on things like birthday parties, school plays, or even family dinner.

You know. The same thing that’s happening in offices all across the country. Probably all over the world. Continue reading »

On the 4th of July, Walt Disney World unveiled the newest addition to the Hall of Presidents – our current Commander in Chief Mr. Barack Obama. Thing is, the Barack Obama animatronic rendering is a wee bit creepy.

Built at a Los Angeles warehouse, the ‘Obama-tron’ which was nicknamed “Roboama” was developed under a veil of secrecy. Obama was Continue reading »

Obama’s Father’s Day Message

spotlight obama and girls Obamas Fathers Day MessageWhile I can understand some of the criticism directed at President Barack Obama (the less over-heated criticism, anyway), I hope that even his harshest critics can agree that he seems to be a good dad. This Father’s Day, the Commander-in-Chief shares some of his thoughts on daddyhood in Parade Magazine.

First, a quick aside: Everyone who thinks that “print is dead” needs to realize that millions of Americans still read newspapers. Why else would President Obama contact Parade and ask them to publish his essay? He could just put it on the Internet, right? But if he did, many people wouldn’t get to read it. Continue reading »
