Should the Sitter Man Poop Scoop Duties?
When a mom comes home to find a big pile of poop in her kid’s potty, the first thought might be “yay, she finally used the toilet!” But can you blame the parent who thinks just as quickly: why is this still in here?
Kelcey Kintner of the Mama Bird Diaries pondered this week whether it’s the sitter’s job to dump the kid’s potty. A quick poll of my Strollerderby colleagues came up with a unanimous: Continue reading »

I love being outside in the winter, but when it takes 20 minutes to get two kids bundled into snowsuits and hats and mittens and then they want to be back inside in 10 minutes, cabin fever has to be pretty bad to get me to drag everybody outside.
Rebecca Plants, a blog and retail site that’s mostly focused on gardening and outdoor living, has a free download of “50 Outdoor Activities for Busy Families.” Continue reading »

Britney Moment: Moving the Car With the Kids
The car has to be moved just a few hundred feet, and it’s just you and the kid at home. So do you do the whole “strap them in the carseat” routine for a few seconds of rolling?
Or do you plop them in the front seat or your lap for a bit of “helping” steer? Continue reading »
