Kids are different from grown-ups: they don’t know everything, they can’t take care of themselves, and they have much to learn. That’s why they need parents and caregivers — to teach them what they don’t know, take care of them, and keep real world distractions at bay so that they can concentrate on learning, growing, and maturing. Unfortunately, for a myriad of reasons, not all kids have families.

Okay. For all of you that got your panties in a bunch over the representation of adoption in the film Orphan …take a big deep breath. The horror/thriller has a big and I mean big twist at the end. A twist so unreal and completly unplausible that the idea of
The new horror flick, Orphan, maybe have adoption groups up in arms for its demonic main character, but crazy Esther has a long line of demon spawn who proceeded her.
Will Orphan, the horror movie that opens this week, instill a terror of adopting a child into the hearts and minds of potential adoption families? The film suggests that the act of bringing the wrong orphan into your home could result in pure psycho drama. Adoption groups, already sensing trouble, are rallying to protest the film and to promote a boycott of its release.
A new summer horror movie is getting a deluge of negative publicity from adoptive parents and other members of the adoption world for portraying an older adopted child as a deranged would-be murderer of her adoptive parents and their (of course) biological children.
