The National Enquirer is reporting that Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs has just six weeks to live. They’ve recently published pictures, which captured an extremely thin-looking Jobs going into the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, California. These images were reportedly captured on February 8 and represent the first hard evidence that Jobs, indeed, has cancer. Though it’s known that Jobs underwent a liver transplant in 2009, Apple’s front man has been very guarded about the details of his health. He’s on a medical leave of absence and has handed over the day-to-day control of the company, but other than that, little else had been reported until the Enquirer broke this story.
Still single, family spokesperson claims.
A family spokesperson for John Edwards tells The Daily Beast that the disgraced presidential campaign drop-out has not proposed marriage to his once secret mistress.
“I can tell you that it’s not true,” the person close to the Edwards family told the Daily Beast. Could the story have come from Rielle Hunter, mother to Edwards youngest child and once new-Mrs.-Edwards-hopeful? “I have no idea where it’s coming from. Setting the date? Really, they shouldn't.
I have a hard time believing the rumors of a John Edwards’ engagement to Rielle Hunter, the wacky videographer whose pregnancy with and birth of Edwards’ youngest child brought down a presidential campaign and a famously adored couple’s marriage.
Not only can’t I believe that he’d remarry so soon after the death of his estranged wife, Elizabeth, but I can’t believe he even thinks marriage is a good idea at this point.
So what if there had been the promise of post-mortum roof-tops nuptials, Dave Matthews and happily ever after? Once news of that alleged cheesy-ness blew up in the quirky couple’s faces, you’d think — you’d think! — they would settle for a shared residence, divided chores and a joint Netflix account. Should we cut it, or throw it at him?
Politicians are a lot like sausage. Once you see them made, you can never look at them the same way again. And I think that’s what the nation’s problem with John Edwards is. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not (quite) cynical enough to believe that all politicians are as deceitful as Edwards was proven to be. And I don’t necessarily think that having a mistress is a prerequisite for becoming a politician.
But I do think that the world got a retroactive glimpse of how Edwards, the politician, was being made as he campaigned for presidency. And let’s face it, folks. The view was horrifying. There’s no debating that. But my question to you today is the following:
What do you think about the view you’re seeing now?
