Michael Jackson Appears in Baby’s Ultrasound

mj thriller25 press shot 2 1 Michael Jackson Appears in Babys UltrasoundYesterday we learned that it’s normal for an ultrasound to look, well, a little weird.  The baby’s still cooking, after all, and as one tech once told me:  “Ultrasound is kind of like trying to tell what an elephant looks like by feeling it’s tail.”

What’s not normal, though, is looking at your baby’s ultrasound picture and seeing the King of Pop growing in your uterus.

British couple Dawn Kelley and William Hickman were looking at a 20 week scan of their seventh child when they saw something familiar.  It wasn’t Grandpa’s nose or Mom’s chin — it was Michael Jackson’s face. Take a look:

Morning News - Giant Sea Monster Skull Found

Sigmund the Sea MonsterAccording to the A.P., “the fossilized skull of a giant sea monster” was found in the United Kingdom. The skull is 8 feet long, and “the creature would have been about 16 meters (52 feet) long” according to scientists. That means the creature would have been big enough to eat a T. Rex. But could it beat the Cloverfield monster? That’s the real question. I smell a summer movie. (AP/Discovery Channel, TimesOnline) Continue reading »

10 Halloween Costumes for the Pregnant Set

claire 10 Halloween Costumes for the Pregnant SetIt’s the time of year when pregnant women gaze down desperately at their swollen bellies and ask: what kind of Halloween costume can I possibly wear in this condition?

Actually, the possibilities are pretty endless.  Last year around this time, I wrote a post that offered up seven Halloween costume ideas for pregnant chicks (all of which are still valid … well, except for Bristol Palin). Now, in an effort to give women-with-child even more Halloween costume options, here is a brand new list for 2009, complete with 10 Oct. 31st ensembles that work perfectly when you’re knocked up. A couple of these are more effective as one-half of a couples costume, but most work as solo numbers, too. And none of them involve painting a target or a stop sign on your bare belly.

Feel free to add even more of your own suggestions in the comments.

15 Weirdest Baby Halloween Costumes

Baby Hitler

costume1 15 Weirdest Baby Halloween Costumes

Boy this reeks of trying too hard. If you’re looking for a way to tell the world, “I am way too edgy to be a parent” dressing your kid like Hitler will do the trick. Amazing attention to detail on the costume, though. That had to take 10’s of hours to make. Which means this kid’s mom or dad sat for a couple of late nights, stitching on swastikas and thinking, “this is gonna be so CUTE!”

Congrats, Baby Hitler, on winning the Douchebag Olympics, Parenting Division. Perhaps next year mom and dad will dress you as a cancerous tumor or genocide.

Michael Jackson’s Kids to Be Home Schooled

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson’s kids - Prince, Paris and Blanket - have always been home schooled.  No public, private or elite learning establishment for them. But after their dad’s death there was some speculation that their guardian Katherine Jackson would be sending them to the exclusive Buckley School where Tito’s kids went. But it is now being reported that the kids will continue their studies with the same tutors they’ve had before who were hired by Jackson. Continue reading »

Coroner Rules Michael Jackson’s Death Homicide

ss 090706 MJcareer tease.vsmall Coroner Rules Michael Jackson’s Death HomicideIt was all so very nice when, after word came that Michael Jackson passed, the zeitgeist chose to remember the sweeter times. The less controversial, more moonwalking times.

If only it could have ended there.

The sordidness around Jackson’s death kicked up 1,000 notches when the LA coroner ruled the performer’s death a homicide yesterday.

Tests showed Jackson was administered propofol, a powerful anesthetic, which mixed lethally with two sedatives Jackson already had in his system.
