America’s favorite scary 50s mom always has something to say and the good folks over at AMC clearly love Betty Draperisms as much as we do. So much so that they have dreamed up a “Submit Your Favorite Betty Draper Quote” contest.
As I’ve always said, the best way to reach kids is by framing the lesson through the malaise of post war America.
It’s been a mad, mad, mad week. So let’s continue with a little more Mad Men love, shall we?

It’s a debate that’s inspired university studies . . . and now a bit part on an episode of Mad Men. When little Sally Draper got kicked out of the room Sunday night, told to “go watch TV” (code for “leave Mommy alone), she plops herself in front of the tube just in time to catch the newscaster riffing on the violent death of a monk protesting the Vietnam War.
