Morning News - Frank McCourt Dies

Frank McCourt, the author of “Angela’s Ashes“, died on Sunday of cancer at the age of 78. “Angela’s Ashes” wasn’t published until he was 66; the L.A. Times describes him as a “late bloomer” of a writer.

Paula Abdul may not be back on “American Idol” next year. Oh. OH! Quelle horror. Seems she is “hurt.” And “angry.” Also very, very stupid. Two words Paula — Brian Dunkelman.

Michael Jackson’s Father Suspects Foul Play

Joe Jackson, father of Michael Jackson, thinks that something untoward was going on when his son died on June 25.

According to NME.com: “I just couldn’t believe what was happening to Michael,” Jackson told ABC News. “I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that.”

Joe went on to say that he “didn’t know anything about the drugs.”

Big confession: I didn’t watch the Michael Jackson debacle, er, funeral this week. But I couldn’t help myself when it came to the video of little Katherine Paris Jackson crying for her daddy.

I know I’m hardly the first to immediately link the stricken child’s very public mourning to that of little John Kennedy Jr. saluting his famous father’s coffin in front of the nation.

UPDATE: Michael Jackson’s Nanny – Who’s Grace Rwaramba?

Who will get custody of Michael Jackson’s three children? Temporary custody has been granted to Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson. But since Katherine is almost eighty years old, there are doubts that a judge would give permanent custody to some one - even a loving blood relative- full permanent custody who is of such an advanced age.

There has been speculation that another Jackson family member, a younger family member, may be deemed worthy. There have been reports that the birth mother of two of the children – Debbie Rowe -would seek custody but have since been found to be false. Another hat that has been tossed into the potential parenting ring is that of the Jackson ex-nanny  – Grace Rwaramba.

Report - Michael Jackson’s Father Not Named in Will

The Telegraph is reporting that Joe Jackson, father of Michael Jackson, may not be named in his son’s will.

Check out this sentence:

“Jackson had a sometimes troubled relationship with his 80 year-old father, who he said would sometimes beat him before sending him on stage.”

Michael Jackson’s Mom Gets the Kids!

Michael Jackson’s mom has been granted custody of his children. At least temporarily.

Katherine Jackson has been granted temporary guardianship of Michael Joseph, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine and Prince “Blanket” Michael II. A hearing is set for a later date to determine permanent custody.
