If you dare the kids of Shorewood High School to do anything…well, be prepared to lose. The Shoreline, WA high school was challenged by a rival school, Shorecrest, to make a lip dub video and the results will blow you away.
17-year-old O’Rhonde Chapman likes to wear jumbo gold hoop earrings, long flowing wigs and stiletto heels. So what’s the big deal? To the school administrators of Nimitz High School in Texas, it’s the fact that O’Rhonde was born a “he”. Unhappy with his attire, the school principal recently sent him home.
My daughter is far from being ready for high school, but when I saw Newsweek’s America’s Top Public High School list I immediately scoured the list of 1,300 schools to see which of our local schools made it.
The schools are from all over the country and the scoring is based on test scores (AP, Intl. Baccalaureate, Cambridge). Who made it to the top of the list ? Continue reading »
