Please help me celebrate the bestest Halloween movie ever!
Because you knew it had to happen.
Making toys is hard. Who knows what kids like, amIright? Here, example, are some good intentioned toys that crossed the line from fun to frightening.
How do you torture a small child? Put them in front of a favorite treat and tell them, “Sure, go ahead and eat it. But if you don’t, I’ll give you another one in a few minutes.”
It’s called the Marshmallow Experiment, a famous study from the 1960s that found that kids who can dely gratification (or who didn’t eat the marshmallow) grew up to be well-adjusted and more dependable than kids who just couldn’t say no to that soft, sugary sweetness.
But forget all that scientific mumbo jumbo for a minute and just wallow in the cuteness of little kids trying their darndest not to eat a marshmallow. They’re sweet enough to eat:
This is usually how hide and seek goes in my house, as my kid likes to hide in the same place (in the bed) everytime. Actually, it’s not really Hide and Seek at all but me pretending to seek, then pretending to get tired and taking a nap on the bed (aka my daughter) while the bed giggles and I continually tell the bed to hush up.
Anywho, these kids have mastered speed Hide and Seek. The Key? No furniture.
