Two fifteen-year-olds and one sixteen-year-old are in jail facing attempted murder charges after they allegedly doused their peer, Michael Brewer, in rubbing alcohol and flicked a lighter, all over a $40 video game.

Like nearly every one of us did way back when, 17-year-old Zikerria Bellamy applied for a job at McDonald’s. Lots of teens appreciate the free food, the experience, and, most of all, the money that comes with the job. Unfortunately, Zikerria wasn’t hired. That wouldn’t be of much interest were it not for the reason she was turned down — Zikerria is transgendered. And if that weren’t bad enough, one of the managers of the restaurant actually called her and left a voice message saying “We don’t hire faggots.”
A Jacksonville, Florida mother has been given a green light to sue local police after they first tackled her and then arrested her for running a red light on her way to the ER. She was in premature labor.

Looking for a little compassion? You won’t find it in Clearwater, Florida. A retirement community there is working hard to evict its youngest resident — a six-year-old girl who lives with her grandparents. If they’re successful, the child could be placed in foster care.
