Potty time with young kids is a challenge under the best of circumstances. And the best of circumstances are not the ones where you’re a dad on an outing with your daughter. Men’s bathrooms are many things, but good places for little girls to hang out they are not.
So Steve Kissing, veteran of many potty trips with his four daughters, has created a quick guide for dads on how to handle the public potty dilemma. Sure to be useful to dads, its also enlightening to moms. For example, while I was aware that the men’s room generally isn’t as clean as the women’s room, I hadn’t previously considered that small girls might try to pee in the urinal. Ew.
Share and share alike. Fifty-fifty. Half-and-half. Seems like a good idea, whether you’re a couple of kids at recess with a single playground ball or divorced parents figuring out custody of your kids. That’s what lawmakers in Tennessee think, anyway. House bill 2916 would require children’s time to be evenly divided between couples who cannot agree on a custody agreement.
Are you an affectionate father? Good for you. Might want to reign that in, however, if you ever visit Brazil. Thanks to a new law intended to crack down on pedophiles traveling to the area to prey on young girls, an Italian man was arrested recently for kissing his own daughter in public.
Father, mother and daughter all insist that it was simple, playful, parental affection. Yet the man remains jailed a week later.
