We’ve seen hardcore babies before, but this little guy really seems to have to look and the moves. Between his head thrashing, his pounding fist, and his skull and crossbones pacifier, he rocks out so hard that he puts himself to sleep.
Or maybe he just got bored when the actual singing started. He is hardcore, after all.
Oh sure, it’s cute when little kids act out their favorite music videos or even try to sing along. It’s all fun and games until someone actually knows how to play a ukulele. And then it’s just kind of amazing.

When they were about 4 and 2, my daughters got hooked on a Little People CD they’d picked up at a garage sale. We picked my husband up at work one day, and when he opened the door, that shrill, chipper, happy music came pouring out.
“It’s like a circus threw up in here,” he complained.
Traditional children’s music can only be tolerated so long, so it’s kind of cute when your kids starts to pick up on your musical taste, singing along to your favorite songs.
Even if your favorite songs happen to be grindcore. Watch this baby sing along to his dad’s favorite death metal song:
Kids are noisy. They babble and squeal. They bang things and drop other things and hit each other with everything. And they seem naturally drawn to the loudest toys.
On a bad day, this can cause a headache. But most of the time, that cacophony of sounds is simply the soundtrack of our lives. Take this little family of musicians, for instance:
Channing has a great idea. She’s going to put on a stuffed animal dog show, and when she’s done, she wants all of you to grab your stuffed animals and make your own show. Then she’ll choose the one that’s the best.
This sweet little video probably would have been lost in virtual oblivion had it gone as planned. Only it doesn’t.
Remember when Saturday mornings meant sleeping in, eating cereal in front of the TV, catching up on the latest cartoons?
Not much has changed:
When my girls were babies, I had one of those red, black, and primary colored mobiles that was supposed to boost babies’ brain power. It may have done that, I’m not really sure. But it what it did do was calm my cranky babies, every time. When they were fed, diapered, cuddled, and napped — but still grouchy (don’t we all have days like that?) — that mobile would give me 10 minutes of whine-free peace so I could recharge for the next round.
This mom found a similar secret, but it’s not a mobile. Watch and see:
