I have long read “blind” items in various tabloid mags and sites concerning Arnold Schwarzenegger and what a narcissistic jerk he is, so it doesn’t surprise me that he doesn’t want to pay his wife spousal support.
My question to you is this: Do you think he’s a jerk for not wanting to pay up even though his wife is a millionaire in her own right? Or is she entitled to the money no matter what?

Unless you don’t expect your kid to go to college or they have their sights set on Jerry Falwell’s Liberty “University”, you might want to pay attention to the courses your kids’ high school offers. Some of them may not be accepted by the University of California as meeting the requirements needed in order to be eligible to apply for admission as an undergraduate. In other words, your kids may need to retake some classes in order to go to a California University.
Hold on to your apron strings, because this story will surprise you. A 60-year-old Italian man was recently ordered by a judge to resume monthly allowance payments to his daughter.
His daughter is 32 years old.
John Nelson, like so many others, was a victim of the economic meltdown our country is trying to deal with; he lost his job and was out of work for a year, before finding another, lower-paying position. Nelson is also a divorced father, ordered to pay child support. After he was laid off, Nelson filed for a reduction in his child support obligation, but it took more than a year to get a court date and then, when he finally did get to make his case before a judge, the judge actually increased the amount Nelson had to pay, leaving him with just $58 per week to live on.
This week the British courts took on the question of who is Jewish, and who gets to decide. In doing so, they set off a storm of controversy and raised some awkward issues for schools and families.
Responding to a lawsuit brought by a student and his family, the court decreed that a Jewish school cannot exclude a student simply because his mother is not Jewish. Instead, they are requiring the school to determine which students qualify as “Jewish” based on self-identity and religious practice. Continue reading »
