Recently I read an article on what children predicted the world might look like in 10 years. I thought I’d ask my own children.
Believe it or not, we’re getting close to the holidays, and that means the gift requests are going to start mounting up from our kiddos. For lots of kids, that gift list includes a new puppy or kitten.
He’s a favorite of Michelle Obama, and this week, SkippyJon Jones is being launched into, er, “spice.”
There was a list of names I couldn’t use for my daughter – not because they were bad, per se, but they’d been used. Once a four-legged member of the family has a name, I’m sorry, but it’s been used up.
I just finished a book about the evolution of “cooperative reproduction” among humans. It seems that humans are among a minority of species in which biological mothers allow their offspring to be cared for by others–and in which those others are willing and able to step up to the plate. The book argues that
