Recalled Britax Chaperone Infant Seat
Britax, one of the Nations most popular car seat manufactures has been recalled. The recall involves 17,251 car seats that were built between built between April 11, 2009, and May 31, 2010.
The concern sparking the recall is an incorrectly produced chest clip on the Chaperone model car seats according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The defective chest clip has the possibility of being too brittle, and may break when used properly in the infant seats. The broken clip could cause serious injury in the case of an accident, and even cut or stab the infant with the sharp, broken plastic edges. Continue reading »
Bad news for Toyota just became good news for parents in the market for a carseat. But is Evenflo that proverbial pot poking fun at the kettle?

You know how, as your baby neared her first birthday, you found yourself more and more anxious to turn her car seat around? After all, her legs looked pretty squished, and not being able to see everyone else in the car made her more than a little cranky.
And then she turned one and hit the 20 pound mark and all became right with the world. Only parents of toddlers today will have to put that sunshine and rainbows moment off for a while — a full year, as it turns out.
It’s good enough for the likes of Kelly Rutherford and Cam Gigandet, but a new test from Consumer Reports says the Orbit travel system isn’t actually all that good.
