Willow Palin Uses Homophobic Slurs on Facebook

Willow Palin
As Sarah Palin gets closer to deciding whether or not she’ll run for president in 2012, something she told Barbara Walters she’s considering based on whether or not it’s a “good thing for the country, for the discourse, for (her) family,” she might want to consider whether or not it’s a good thing for her family members to be on Facebook. Her 16-year-old daughter Willow was caught using homophobic slurs on Facebook this weekend, just as her mother’s reality show was setting records as the most watched premiere in TLC history.
A classmate of Willow’s named Tre posted a status update reading, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska, is failing soo hard right now.” Palin’s eldest daughter, Bristol, was the first to respond. She writes, “You’re running your mouth just to talk sh-t.” Bristol quickly accuses Tre of only pretending he didn’t know what Dancing with the Stars was (aww, poor girl, I don’t know if I should laugh or cry about that) and then Willow begins to weigh in, adding, “your so gay” and “your such a faggot.”
I’m not sure what’s worse: the fact that the daughter of a vice presidential and possibly presidential candidate used two gay slurs in one thread, the fact that the daughter of V.P. candidate Palin doesn’t know the difference between you’re and your, or the fact that neither of those things surprise me in any way whatsoever. Bristol Palin and The Situation Film Bizarre Abstinence PSA

Bristol Palin and The Situation
Danielle over at Being Pregnant uncovered this hilarious PSA produced by The Candie’s Foundation in which Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of Jersey Shore fame accidentally bumps into “B. Palin,” who we are to assume is perusing the costume rack backstage on the set of Dancing with the Stars. They proceed to have a yuk-yuk filled conversation about her belief in abstinence, which he “totally respects” because “it has the word abs in it.” (Buh-dump-bump.) Palin in turn tells The Situation that she doesn’t need to borrow one of his, ahem, magnum sized condoms because she “avoids situations.”
Dennis DiClaudio over at the Comedy Central Indecision blog says, “I don’t even know what it is. A PSA for abstinence? A debate over safe sex vs. no sex? Some kind of a fetish video for people who like pain in their eyeballs?” Exactly. This video is laughable not only because of the corny script and bad acting, but because it completely lacks focus. Take a look:
In her post on the subject, Being Pregnant’s Danielle says, “While the message being provided is certainly something we need for our young people today, especially with the rising teen pregnancy rates… couldn’t they have picked… better spokespeople for the public service ad?” I don’t question the choice to cast Bristol Palin or The Situation as spokespeople to reach today’s teens; I think they’re both ideal candidates for a safe sex PSA. Both celebs are famous for simply being themselves, and everyone knows they’re talking from personal experience on the subject, which gives them cred among the demographic that needs to hear the message, “Pause Before You Play,” the most.
What I do question, however, is The Candie’s Foundation’s choice to promote abstinence as an effective means of preventing teen pregnancy. Continue reading »
Bristol and Levi: The Engagement’s Off!
Heads up, Kathy Griffin! Your wannabe boyfriend is back on the market.
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are taking some time away from their on-again, off-again romance. E! reports that Bristol got upset about an interview with Johnston’s ex, Briana Plum, in which Plum shared some dicey things about her relationship with Levi. Plum also apparently posted a picture of herself with Levi on Facebook, the online tool of choice for cheaters. All of this came on the heels of rumors that Levi had fathered a child with another ex, Lanesia Garcia, who vehemently denies a relationship with Levi, saying the pair haven’t talked since they broke up in 8th grade.
I think it’s safe to assume that all plans for a reality show based on the couple’s lives have been halted, but what does the split mean for their son, 19-month-old Tripp? Continue reading »
Bristol and Levi Want to Get Hitched On TV!
Just when we thought the Palin family circus couldn’t get more tawdry, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnson have announced their intentions to get married on live TV.
They’re also shopping “several” reality show concepts around Hollywood. Their plan: do a reality show about “parenting issues”. You think these two might know something about that?
Now, in their defense, these kids have barely dipped their toes into the waters of adulthood. They can’t be expected to exercise solid judgment, let alone tact, when it comes to knowing what they should or should not do on national television.
But where are their parents? Oh, right. Making a spectacle of themselves on TV.
Bristol Palin Engaged to Levi Johnston
Those crazy Palin kids. Bristol Palin announced her secret engagement to Levi Johnston on the cover of US Weekly. “We got engaged two weeks ago. It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents,” Bristol told the magazine.
That’s right, Bristol and Levi have been engaged for weeks (three months, reportedly), but Sarah Palin found out along with the rest of us. “It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be,” Bristol told the magazine. “Hopefully she will jump on board.”
So what was Mama Palin’s reaction?
Bristol Palin Talks Motherhood on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”
It’s sort of ironic that Bristol Palin is appearing on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” since her teenage years have been anything but secret.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will appear in Monday night’s episode of ABC Family’s ”The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” It’s her acting debut, but Palin says it came naturally since she’s playing herself.
“It was right up my alley,” said Palin. “I was pregnant the same time as the character, Amy, on the show, so I kind of felt like we went through the experience together.”
Critics have sniped that “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” glamorizes teen pregnancy. The same might be said for Bristol Palin. After all, most single, teenage mothers don’t get the opportunity to guest star on a primetime television show.
Brenda Hampton, the show’s creator said the scene where Palin talks about being the mother of a toddler “was written as a discussion between two teenage moms and Bristol Palin is the most famous teen mom in America. It just fit.”
In her appearance, Palin says, “We’re all teen moms.” Based on this brief cameo, I’d say she doesn’t have much of a future in Hollywood. Watch a clip from the show and see for yourself.

Bristol Palin on Motherhood, Hard Work and Levi Johnston
She’s just like any other teen mom, that Bristol Palin. Working hard, loving harder, making choices between going to hockey games or a paycheck. She chooses the paycheck. She’s got bills! Don’t let the Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors gowns fool you.
Harper’s Bazaar’s interview with the daughter of the never-to-be vice president, Sarah Palin, hits newsstands June 1. We learn what’s it’s like to have your pregnancy outed on national TV (Totally sucked. She was 40 pounds “overweight”!), whether she’ll settle down (with the right guy, sure) and what she’d be doing if it weren’t for her son, Tripp (college, somewhere warm).
She also tells us the subject of her PowerPoint presentation in college speech class. Continue reading »
