Women Shamed Outside Court for Stealing from Kid

stealing from kids 300x210 Women Shamed Outside Court for Stealing from KidTwo adult women stood outside a Pennsylvania courthouse for four and a half hours with giant signs: “I stole from a nine-year-old on her birthday! Don’t steal or this could happen to you!”

A little girl had placed her gift card on a shelf while a Wal-Mart employee assisted her - ostensibly with her purchases. Continue reading »

winter baby 200x300 They Say: Born in Winter, Youll Never Catch UpWhat if the day you’re born, you could already tell how long you’ll live and how well you’ll do in school? Scientists think they can.

But where studies have long posited that a winter birthday is to blame for poor test scores, lower earnings and poor long-term health, there’s a new theory about birthdays. Continue reading »

Two Parents and a Birthday Party? Never

Happy Birthday, Let’s Eat Junk

gimmesugar 300x177 Happy Birthday, Lets Eat JunkPick up time at my daughter’s nursery school is always hectic, but nothing like this. I could hear the shrieks from the sidewalk.
