A Boston cabdriver is avoiding a suspension, but he earned a slap on the wrist for driving away with a seven-year-old sleeping in his backseat after dropping her parents off at their home.

The other night while I was watching TV, there was an Amber Alert interruption of the all local programming. The odd thing about this Northern California alert was the amount of detail included – a man was being sought for kidnapping his one-year-old daughter and for killing the mother with a baseball bat. Authorities had the suspect’s name and the make, model and license number of the getaway car. The info about being on the look out for the suspect was all well and good, but the manner of how the mother was killed being included was alarming…especially in the middle of watching Bridezilla (yeah, I know…it’s a guilty pleasure).
