Running out of gas is never convenient. And if you happen to have two little kids with you, it just makes matters more complicated. For one mom from Bellevue, Washington, on Sunday morning things went from just a hassle to horrible when the car she was driving with her two- and four-year-old kids ran out of gas. The nearest gas station was about a mile away, and the mom reportedly took her four-year-old daughter on the trek while leaving her two-year-old son buckled into his car seat alone. The car was apparently left unlocked. But when she returned, her son — Sky Metalwala — was nowhere to be seen.

Amber Alert issued for 10-month-old.
An Amber Alert has been issued after the parents of 10-month-old Lisa Irwin reported her missing early this morning.
As the Huffington Post reports, a frantic search is underway in Kansas City, Missouri for the little girl who was last seen by her mother, who laid her down to sleep at 10:30 p.m., Monday night. The child was reportedly discovered missing by her dad when he came home from work at 4 a.m. The parents immediately called police.
Police think the kidnapper may have gotten into the Irwin home through a window in the baby’s room, which reportedly showed signs of tampering. Continue reading »
Isabella Olschuk was last seen on Saturday night at her parent's home in Connecticut
A partially deaf 12-year-old girl in Orange, Conn., has gone missing and the FBI have joined local police in searching for her.
Isabella Oleschuk was last seen on Saturday night at home. Her hearing aid was left behind, which has left those looking for her concerned that she might not be able to hear rescuers calling out her name as they comb the woods with dogs, knock on doors and search by air.
Isabella was reported missing early Sunday morning by her parents. A Silver Alert has been issued, which indicates authorities are characterizing her disappearance as “mysterious,” but not necessarily a kidnapping. (Amber Alerts are issued when an abduction is suspected.) Fliers posted around her hometown say she is an “endangered runaway.” However, some connected to the family say they feel she has been taken.
Although many held up hope for the safe return of the 4-year-old California boy named Juliani Cardenas, his tale does not have a happy ending.
The State of California sadly canceled the Amber Alert for Juliani Cardenas on Tuesday afternoon after his body was found. He could have been found earlier, but it took a couple of days before he was discovered. What happened? Continue reading »
