Stupak Supporters Get Coat Hangers
The 20 supposedly “
pro-choice” Democrats who jumped the aisle to support the Stupak Amendment in the House health reform bill will receive coathangers as an early Christmas gift from angry abortion-rights activists. No doubt the gifts will be received with all the love that went into sending them.
Credo Action (an activist network tied to the Credo Mobile cell phone company) is running an Internet campaign to deliver signed petitions along with piles of coathangers to the “pro-choice” congress-critters (all men) who voted for the amendment, which activists say restricts abortion access. What the House Health Reform Bill Means for You
Saturday night, the House of Representatives passed a major health care reform bill; the first to clear that hurdle since Medicare was created over 40 years ago. If it also passes the Senate and is signed into law, this health care reform will provide insurance coverage for up to 36 million uninsured Americans.
What will this mean for your family? Continue reading »

Downs Pregnancies Up But Downs Births Steady
Researchers in England have noted that although the number of pregnancies where the fetus has been identified as having Downs Syndrome has increased notably — from 1,075 in 1990 in England and Wales to 1,843 in 2008 — the number of births has stayed virtually constant. In fact, the number of babies born with Downs went from 752 to 743 — a decrease of slightly over 1%. So, what’s up with that? Why more pregnancies, but births remain the same?

Oklahoma To Share Abortion Info Online
It’s like Facebook for women who have abortions. Or not. Really, I’m not quite sure what the point might be of the Sooner State’s latest law. As of November 1, women who have an abortion will have to fill out a lengthy questionnaire, the answers to which will be posted on a public website. And while the claim is made that none of the questions ask for specifically identifying information such as name or address, it would appear that the first eight questions alone provide enough information to identify the patient in a small community.

Mom Wins Suit For Being Called Nazi Over Abortion
The single mother who won a suit against the Polish government’s ban on abortion has gained her second success: a Catholic newspaper will have to pay her for equating her attempts to have her pregnancy terminated with murder and the Nazi regime.
Alicja Tysiac was already a mother of two in 2000 when she became pregnant again. Eye doctors advised against carrying the pregnancy to term because she was likely to lose her vision, but doctors refused the terminate the pregnancy. Continue reading »

Anti-Abortion Activist Killing Not Abortion-Motivated?
A well-known Michigan abortion protestor was gunned down this week doing what he loved - protesting outside a high school.
No matter his beliefs, it’s tragedy, pure and simple, that a man died. But the arrest of Harlan James Drake for the killing has put a curious spin on the move to make Jim Pouillon a martyr for the pro-life crowd with this news:
He might not have been killed over the abortion cause at all. Continue reading »
