NFL Football Player Tommie Harris’ Wife Dies 4 Months After Giving Birth
Here is Tommie Harris with Ashley, pregnant with their second child.
Sad, sad, sad.
Pro football player, Tommie Harris’ wife, Ashely, passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Ashley, who was just 29, gave birth to the couple’s second child just four months ago.
Ashley Harris, who had lived in Louisiana, married Tommie on New Year’s Day of this year. The couple had two children together: 3 1/2-year-old Tyson and four-month old Tinsley.
As Yahoo Sports reports, Ashley was found unresponsive on Friday and passed away on Sunday The couple were in Oklahoma at the time visiting. Tommie Harris once played for the University of Oklahoma. An official cause of death has not been determined, but doctors believe it was a stroke or a brain aneurysm.
Before joining the San Diego Chargers, Harris spent seven years with the Chicago Bears As the Chicago Tribune reports, several of his former Bears teammates flew to Oklahoma to be with him.
