Why not give a voucher for the dead look in Barbie's eyes while we're at it?

If my mom gave me a $7,000 liposuction voucher, I’d be psyched. But I’m a grown woman who recently gave birth for the second time.

If I were a 7-year-old girl and it were Christmas and my mom gave me a $7,000 liposuction voucher, I’d be petitioning the court for emancipation. Or to be adopted out to another mom. Or something.

A British woman pathetically and seemingly proudly known as “The Human Barbie” as a result of her love for plastic surgery appears determined to screw up her daughter in kind. First she promised her daughter a boob job on her seventh birthday, according to Mommyish. Now comes the vow to fund her future liposuction procedure.

What’s the number for Child Protective Services?

Sarah Burge has spent more than £500,000 on plastic surgery and defends the Christmas gift to her daughter Poppy as something that will “come in handy,” telling the UK’s Daily Mail, “She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy. I see these vouchers as investing in her future — like saving money for her education.”

Which is funny. Because when I was 7 I asked my mom to let me eat only hot dogs and chocolate and drop out of school, but she didn’t let me. Because I was a kid. And, you know, because she’s my mom and loves me enough to discourage even the idea of unhealthy habits and behaviors.

Oh, and how about instead of investing in her daughter’s future fat suctioning she teaches her now how to properly care for her body so she won’t need lipo, and use the money to actually invest in education instead.

A novel idea, I know.

PS – Police are knocking down a kid’s door to collect an overdue library book, but this circus-shit-show plastic surgery mom still roams free? Ugh.

It’s such a gross story you’re probably wishing it wasn’t true, right?

How truly bizarre. I could see giving a voucher for orthodontic work to a child who is self-conscious about her teeth but is too young to start treatment (that would’ve been my DD at age 7). But a boob job and lipo?

That is a sad story and it makes me worry about the future of that little girl. She needs to learn to love and respect her body. Healthy diet and exercise starting at age 7 could mean never needing lipo suction or any other cosmetic procedure. This mother needs help! And her stating that her daughter has been asking for it just proves that she believes that it normal to have surgery. And it is not! It is so very dangerous to teach our children to take the easy way out of situations. We as society need to take a stand for the future of our children.

Just speechless. A mother is supposed to be telling positive things about her body to boost her self esteem and teaching her daughter good habits to help boost her confidence. This is glaringly going in the opposite direction and destroying her self image! We need to be examples to our daughters and teach them that we respect ourselves and are happy with who we are too. That beauty is not skin deep and purely comes from the inside and being a good person!

WOW! I hope this is a joke… WOW! And that is all I have to say!

Just to point out, it is a £7000 voucher, or about $11,000 in US dollars. That extra $4k makes a difference, I suppose.

It’s obscene that this woman is teaching her children that they need to expect to have to be surgically corrected, as if they are flawed. It’s vulgar and disgusting, and the mother needs serious psychological help.

I feel nothing but sadness for this child b/c she’s gonna clearly grow up having the same if not worse body issues than her mother. Why not take that money she used for the voucher and put that towards her future education or even put that towards private classes for her daughter’s favorite interest? That would be far more of a responsible, reasonable, and most importantly, postive gift she could have ever given her child.
