Actually these are all quite nice. None of them sound like future inmates or McDonald’s workers. And from what I can see, they are all spelled correctly. No doubt some idiots will jump on the Sirrahfeena and Attykus bandwagons. Sigh.

i thought charlotte, violet, amelia and isla were all popular already? and all the boy names except atticus. i don’t know why everyone wants their kid to be the only ______ in the world. i would settle for something that’s not top 10. i predict ruby, clementine, arabella penelope and nora/norah will all be really popular. also a resurgence of aimee and susannah.

I had a son in March that I named Henry Atticus. So much for that!

My sons name is Asher, he is 9 years old, I was way ahead of my time :) Of course my oldest is Logan (18) & he was the only Logan I knew til he was 8, & he went to school with a girl named Logan :( My daughter is Marlee, she is 3 :))

When I picked names, none of them where very high on the top 100 list and I believe some of them weren’t on there at all. It’s frustrating to see them becoming popular. Like Penny. I love the name, but I never would have thought it would begin rising in popularity again. However, even if they become #1 names at some point, I don’t think i’ll regret my kid’s name bc we loved those names. The one regret I do have is, although I love my daughter’s name, I wish I had names her after my mom and saved her name for a deci.d daughter bc now I’m all worried I may not have another daughter to name after my mom.

I made up my sons name, pretty sure it won’t be getting popular. Especially since you can’t even find it anywhere online :-)

I love the name Asher, and have never thought of it as a popular name. I am not a fan of trendy names, so Im really hoping this isn’t true!

i always have to smile when people read a “popular names list” and are shocked when “their” special name is on it. name trends rise and fall in popularity over large populations of people – and the name that sound so “fresh” and “different” to your ears likely sounds fresh and different to many others in your demographic. as the 20- and 30-somethings mostly having kids these days, we’re all sick of the jennifers and laurens from the 80s (i say this as a lauren myself). the vintage-ish names from the earlier part of the last century (like henry, charlotte, etc) are nice and old-fashioned sounding (also super trendy in general are things that are “old-school”) but not so recent that they remind us of our parents (all the debbies and scotts and patricias from the 50s and 60s). also, people who are naming small babies do not always spend a lot of time with the parents of other small babies. if they did, they’d realize just how many beatrices and bastians and liams and sophias are running around the playgrounds. and yes, i know children with ALL the names on the lists above, except for imogen – which i was seriously considering for my own child until we found out he was a boy!

Not a fan of any of the names, sorry.
