Winter - Time for Conception!

Christmas has come and gone and New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. You and/or your spouse may be on vacation from work and have a bit more spare time. Also it’s cold outside, so you are spending more time than usual in your home. With these kinds of conditions, many couples use this time to stay warm…in the bedroom.

They get busy, they make whoopee, they have sex and make babies. A lot of babies. According to studies (via the Daily Beast) most babies are actually conceived between Christmas and New Year’s Day which means the most popular birthday is, drumroll please…

September 16th!

One study found that “More than twice as many condoms are sold in the week before Christmas than in the week after Christmas.” A fact that, “strongly suggestive of an acute increase in sexual activity over the Christmas period.” But apparently not everyone is using those condoms, hence the uptick in September birthdates.

Do you find you get “lucky” more around the holiday season?
