Our group of friends has recently taken up playing Settlers of Catan because it takes significantly less time to finish than our other favorite game, Arkham Horror. A good game of Arkham will take about 15 minutes to decide which expansions to play with, 30-40 minutes to set up the board and (conservatively) 3-4 hours of playtime after that…then another 30 minutes to clean everything up and put it away.
