Disney Magic in Times Square? NYC Gets Virtual Visit from Mickey Mouse (Video)
There’s no disputing the magic of Disney… but did you know it could be this magical?
Mickey Mouse celebrated his 83rd birthday by bringing the magic of Disney to New York City.
Those visiting New York’s Times Square during the day on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 are treated to special technology that brings the Disney characters to life.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the 60-foot tall digital board is located above the Disney Store on Broadway at 45th Street.
The characters interact with visitors virtually, as the Disney blog explains, “Using state-of-the-art augmented reality technology, we’ll be creating fun and whimsical moments with guests in Times Square as they virtually interact with the Disney theme park characters.”
In addition to being totally cool… it’s totally free!
Of course, there’s no comparison to being in a Disney park in person, but this is a pretty awesome runner-up.
