Favorite Celebrities Lend Voices in New Animated DVD “A Child’s Garden of Poetry”
The 2011 Emmy winner for Outstanding Children’s Program A Child’s Garden of Poetry weaves together the words of celebrated poets voiced by favorite stars like Dave Matthews, Liam Neeson, and Julianne Moore, with the backdrop of delightful animation, as shown in the gallery below.
The half-hour DVD includes more than a dozen short segments featuring works by Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Frost, Yeats, and William Shakespeare, just to name a few. Hear from celebrities including Claire Danes, Ziggy Marley, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and more, as well as heartfelt readings by children offering their own insights on what poetry means to them.
Many of the poems featured in A Child's Garden of Poetry are available in a free colorful poetry booklet download. A Child's Garden of Poetry is available exclusively from HBO Home Entertainment on November 8, 2011.

It is my favorite program to show my young children, and my son can now recite and talk about poetry. All kinds! Funny, serious, lovely… I am really looking forward to seeing this one.
