Baby Lisa Irwin's Brothers to Be Questioned

Imagine being in Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin shoes. Your 10-month-old baby girl – Lisa Irwin -goes missing. Not only is there a very high profile search for her, your character is nationally questioned but at the same time you have to shield and protect your other children. In mom Deborah Bradley’s case that would be her two sons (from a previous relationship) aged six and eight.  Now, more than three weeks after Lisa Irwin’s disappearance, the two boys will interviewed again. Why?

Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin reportedly did not let authorities interview the boys since Lisa’s disappearance. The police did talk to them the day she went missing but haven’t been able to talk to them since. The parents have had issues with the way authorities have conducted their investigation but they have said that their family will answer any and all questions, “as long as the investigators doing the questioning are ones who have not previously determined guilty before having a stitch of evidence. We want a fair investigation.”

The children will be questioned by “special certified forensic interviewers who are specially trained to interview children,” said the lawyer for Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin. The authorities will also take DNA samples.

With new developments in the case arising, it makes sense to interview the boys again, now that the investigators have more information about that night, hopefully the children will have something to add to the investigation.

Do you think that the Irwin’s should have let the authorities interview the children again sooner or do you think it was best that they tried to shield them from the tragic reality?

Get your facts straight…………the “boys” are not hers from a preivous marriage. Only the 6 year old is – her son with her CURRENT husband. Baby Lisa’s dad, Jeremy Irwin, is just Deborah’s live-in boyfriend. And the other boy, the 8 year old, is Jeremy’s son from a previous relationship.

I think that the family did the correct course of action on this. It could have been very traumatizing for the children to be interviewed by police who are not trained in working with children. Imagine a police officer insinuating to your children that their mother may have killed a sibling. Crazy. I would never allow that.

Possibly consider this: that Baby Lisa might not be Jeremy Irwin’s biological daughter. And that she was taken by her biological father, as he deemed Deborah Bradley unfit and an alcoholic. Just a possibility.
