Steve Wozniak Wipes Away Tears While Remembering Steve Jobs
One person you could have expected to hear from about the loss of Steve Jobs is the co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak. He’s been all over the airwaves today, paying tribute to his friend.
The Associated Press gained a tearful video interview of Wozniak only hours after he learned of Jobs’ death via a phone call from a member of the media. Wait until the end to see Wozniak take a moment to wipe the tears from his eyes.
On FOX News this morning, Wozniak said he didn’t think Jobs was the Einstein of our generation, as many have tweeted. He said, instead, he thought of him as the Walt Disney of modern times, bringing joy to so many.
On CBS News, he said that in recent conversations with Jobs, the subject of death came up: ”Steve spoke to me of the illness more recently than a few months ago as something that really did bother him, that he did not like the fact that he had been close to death, and sort of survived,” Wozniak told “The Early Show” from his home in Los Gatos, California.
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple in the garage of Jobs’ parents in 1976. They both attended the same high school and were members of the Homebrew Computer Club.
Wozniak’s website, woz.org, has yet to be updated, but does feature of picture of the two friends.
