Casey Anthony Seeks Psychological Help: Is it a Play For Sympathy? (VIDEO)

Casey Anthony Crying 247x300 Casey Anthony Seeks Psychological Help: Is it a Play For Sympathy? (VIDEO)The tears, oh….the tears.  We didn’t see many of them from Casey Anthony, now did we?  One would imagine that a mother who lost her child would spend days or weeks or months crying….or sobbing, rather, but not, Ms. Anthony.  For much of her trial, and many of the times she was photographed, the picture you see here, was NOT the norm.  She was stoic.  Stone-faced even.

And now the news today via People Magazine that Anthony is seeking psychological help.  Truth be told, this isn’t really ‘news’.  It shouldn’t come as a surprise that she has grief issues and who knows what else. Not to mention the weight of being hated by, well, everyone.

But before you start filling the comments with frustrated notes like, ‘Why, oh, why Danielle, are we talking about Casey Anthony again??’  Hear me out….I have a question for you.  And it isn’t just related to Casey Anthony.

Sorry, I would like to think it is true and would help, but she is a consummate liar I have ever seen. If she gets to pick her therapist she will find someone she can manipulate.
Finally, therapy only works if you are receptive to it. She is not. She is just a malignant narcissist trying to rehab her image.

I didn’t listen to the question and I think Casey Anthony probably was more involved in the death of her daughter than she claims… but I just wanted to say that not everyone cries in the same circumstances. Personally, I cry when I am *frustrated*, not when I’m sad or grieving. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel emotional pain. If I lost my child in some horrific way, and if for some unimaginable reason I wound up on trial, I would probably also strike you as ‘stoic and stone-faced’, because that’s how pain looks on me.

@Jan – thank you so much for commenting – a portion of your comment echoes my thoughts exactly: “trying to rehab her image.” That is exactly what I was asking – if making ‘news’ out of her seeking treatment is just such an attempt. And if an attempt for someone like her is even worth it.

@Diera Your point is completely taken – and absolutely under no circumstances was I trying to insinuate that you must cry uncontrollably to demonstrate pain – I simply think in Casey’s situation, her seeming inability to exhibit emotion made it more difficult (along with many other circumstatnces) for people to feel sympathy for her. Thank you for commenting.

Danielle, I do NOT think Casey Anthony will garner any sympathy whatsoever. She is a narcissist and a psychopath. She will be seen as trying to get sympathy so she can be more marketable, thus scheduling interviews to seek money from the death (murder) of her child as her parents have done. Sorry, no sympathy here.

I believe Jose Baez is working with the spin doctors to get Casey to be less hated or more tolerated by the public for personal reasons. He personally wants to make as much money as he can from this case and to be hailed as a new legal genius. Yeah, this guy thinks he’s good because she was let off. He doesn’t get for a second that he is probably the WORST lawyer there is and she was found not guilty because of him, but in spite of him. After the trial, he had the nerve to announce that he saved a life today. Jose, the jury didn’t like the evidence they had, not that you did some incredible job. And of course, Casey goes along with what he says because she needs the money and owes him a ton of cash, along with everyone else that’s in line. Therapy and counseling are great ideas and they may even help her if she let’s it. As it stands, any book or interview would be a joke. Who would believe a word out of her mouth? Other than Cindy of course. But no one else would. So gear up the ad machinery and get her in a better bargaining position to be sold to the public. After all, really, what else will she ever have in this life? Who would hire her? Her own lawyer, Dorothy Sims couldn’t answer the question of would she let Casey watch her kids. She squirmed, hemmed, Hawwed, and left it at that. Don’t get me wrong, there are so many pathetic humans that actually believe her and can’t see through any of the BS that was thrown in at the trial. There are men that send her money. But, somehow, I don’t believe that these unbalanced humans and her together would make for very healthy relationships, let alone if she ever got pregnant again!! Wow, would that light up the boards. Anyway, I think that some people will be taken in by the ploy, but most will not. Just like the trial. Most people can’t believe she was let off but the jury and a few others fell for it.

100% totally believe this is the CONVICTED FELON, PATHOLOGICAL LYING, SKANK, BABY KILLER, CASEY ANTHONY’S spin doctors at work, led by head lawyer, Jose Bozo. Why release the info, like you said, unless it is to serve some kind of purpose. In this case, I believe the purpose is to gain sympathy for her (ain’t happening here!) to gain a big $$$ interview, book deal, and whatever else people will throw the CONVICTED FELON’S way. Don’t believe it folks, it’s all a con, nothing more, for $$$. CONVICTED FELON, PATHOLOGICAL LYING, SKANK, BABY KILLER, CASEY ANTHONY wants to cash in on murdering her 2 year old daughter, and her DUH-fense is wanting to help her do that cuz they want big $$$ too. Just like the Dr. Phil interview with the CONVICTED FELON’S parents, SINdy and Georgette. SINdy ain’t delusional, she is manipulative and also a liar. She is trying to also put her POS daughter in a better light, so the public has a better attitude about CONVICTED FELON CASEY (good luck with that, LOL!!) So, SINdy lies and manipulates once again on the Dr. Phil show. And of course, it’s all about $$$ with that family too. The last foundation the Anthony’s set up, 80% of that $$$ went to “administrative expenses”, in other words, “SALARIES.” Only 20% of the $$$ collected went to charity. Now they got another one up, and Dr. Phil contributed $500K to that foundation, wanna bet the Anthony’s are gonna take a good share of that as “administrative expenses, aka SALARIES”, too. You guys should google “Drew Kess” and find out what he has to say about this dysfunctional Anthony family. This man’s daughter has been missing for years and IMHO, has a legit gripe. Very interesting, and this guy doesn’t mince words about the Anthony family. I love Drew Kess!!!! :)
