Snow White and the Seven NINJAS: Sneaking Soon Into a Theatre Near You
Nope, this isn’t the Julia Roberts Snow White remake. Nor is it the Kristen Stewart version.
A third Snow White is in the offing, and it’s entitled The Order of the Seven. Picture Snow White in 19th- century China with seven international warrior companions, although they’re not nearly as cute as they sound.
The project has been in development for nearly a decade and was originally known as Snow and the Seven.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, each warrior will be from different locations and have a unique fighting style. They all belong to a “centuries-old order [and] have lost their way. Their meeting with an Englishwoman being chased by an ancient evil is the catalyst for their redemption.”
The film goes into production next year, which is when the other two Snow White films are set to be released.
I have to say that the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is easily my least favorite Disney movie – and yes, I am aware that it’s on the AFI’s list of the top 100 films of all time.
I think the title character is a pathetic portrayal of a woman, and her voice is one of the most grating in cinematic history. I’m not a big ninja fan, but hopefully between the three new films, one will top the original. I can’t imagine it will be too hard.
Are you looking forward to seeing a ninja Snow White film?

Meredith Carroll commented on Aug 09 11 at 7:40 pmThanks, Rose. I changed it.
Mistress_Scorpio commented on Aug 09 11 at 8:16 pmNinjas are Japanese. You even specify the setting as 19th century China with seven international warrior companions” and then you distill the concept to “a ninja Snow White film.”
Amathev commented on Aug 10 11 at 12:26 pmWhat about “Chinese warrior” makes you think of “ninja”? Is every Chinese warrior a ninja all of a sudden?
