Madeleine McCann has NOT been found in India.

As my colleague Sunny noted earlier, Madeleine McCann, who has been missing since 2007, was thought to have been sighted by a tourist in India.  But a family spokesperson, Clarence Mitchell, said today that “there is no reason to believe a little girl spotted in India is Madeleine McCann,” according CNN.

The news agency is also reporting that Mitchell “was not aware of any requests for DNA to match with the girl seen in Leh, northern India.”  Additionally, “A regional police chief in India said he knew nothing about the sighting.”

Abdul Gani Mir, deputy inspector general of police for central Kashmir and Leh, told CNN, ”There is no question of carrying out DNA when you don’t have the girl. I checked and re-checked from my officers on ground in Leh and they have categorically told me they have not recovered the girl.”

Madeleine’s parents are still looking for their daughter, and commemorated the 4th anniversary of the day she went missing by publishing a book about their search.  All proceeds from the book’s sale will go to search and rescue efforts.

I so wish they found her I still think this day she’s out there , but all this false hope is no good to the family and friends who have been searching for her, but if some1 though they seen her that’s a good thing ” right” !?
