Some might have opted to hold onto the foul ball for posterity

Most kids dream of catching a foul ball at a Major League Baseball game. And then there are the kids who do just that, but then opt not to keep them.

At the San Francisco Giants-Cleveland Indians game on Saturday, a little kid got his hands on a foul ball hit by Andrés Torres only to throw it back out onto to field, much to his father’s very, very visible dismay. As a side note, the kid appears to have a good arm.

Maybe the kid figured if he kept the ball he wouldn’t get a new one in the gift shop. And who wants something free and used when you can buy something new and untouched?
