Kids Draw the Internet

The Internet by Artangashi of James Madison High School. (Does that whale mean that Twitter is down???)
It’s Internet Week here in New York City, and as part of the festivities, professional artists and children alike have attempted to do what only South Park has done: draw the Internet. The works are on display at the Internet Week New York headquarters (125 West 18th Street) through 6pm on Thursday, June 9th. The project is a collaboration between ad agency Saint and the website ArtWeLove.com. Prints by artists like Josh Harris, Doug Rushkoff, Seth Indigo Carnes, and Shelter Serra are being sold to benefit The NYC Department Of Education’s general fund. Take a look at these hilarious and awesome drawings and tell me these kids didn’t nail it!

By Megan Smith of Cornwall Central Middle School

"The blue trail to stalkers' ville" by Sabrina Tran of Germantown Academy

By Jessica of E13 Primary Schools

By Alice Foster of Copleston High School
To see more pictures of the Internet, visit CanYouDrawTheInternet.com. And since rainbows seem to be a common theme in so many of the drawings, give yourself a much-needed pick me up by watching this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g0yZDMBXiE. You know, in honor of the Internet.
