Casey Anthony Trial: Shocking Claim! Caylee Drowned in Pool…But Why All the Lies?
There was a shocking claim by the defense lawyer for 25-year-old Casey Anthony, the mother who is accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Casey Anthony’s attorney claimed that this case was “not a murder. Not a manslaughter case. Not a case of aggravated child abuse.” He made the statement that Caylee, “died when she drowned in her family swimming pool.” This – he claimed – was supposedly an accidental death but the cover up spiraled out of control. But this just begs the question. Why – up to now – were there all those ‘lies’?
The defense is slated to say that since the age of eight Casey Anthony has been living a lie. Why? The defense attorney threw a bombshell and suggested that Casey Anthony was sexually and physically abused by her father George Anthony. The defense claims that from a young age, Casey was conditioned to tell fibs and lies because she feared the wrath of her mother and father. They are also apparently going to claim that Casey Anthony’s father helped cover up the death of Caylee along side his daughter Casey.
With all the searches for Caylee’s body, the media attention, the claims of a odd smell coming from the trunk of Casey’s car…if Caylee’s death was really an accident, why didn’t Casey come forward with the claim earlier? Or if this scenario is true, that it was an accidental drowning in the family pool (about 300 children under the age of 5 die each year by accidental pool drownings) why didn’t Casey call 911? Why weave all the tall tales? Was it that she was so emotionally damaged from her own childhood she didn’t know how to handle it or is this just a last ditch attempt to try to give a shadow of doubt to the jury?
As more details come out, we’ll learn more about what is being claimed, but this seems to be pretty out of left field.

cissyrene commented on May 24 11 at 5:24 pmWhether or not it’s true in this case, I don’t know. But If the situation they presented is real then the reactions Casey had aren’t unreasonable. If you grow up lying because to lie literally saves your ass sometimes, then your very first instinct is to lie. The lie spirals out of control, but the more you lie, the less you’re able to take it back and tell the truth. Now you’ve messed up AND you’ve lied. I’ve had to, in my adult life, learn not to lie, so it is feasable.

I firmly believe that this family is disfunctional, but I am sickened that the defense would stoop so low to get his client off as to the allegations he presented today. They are preposterous!!! It is obvious that George Anthony loved that little girl. I believe that Casey is a sociopath and has no remorse for anything she does. The only one that knows what happened to caylee is Casey. And we will NEVER get the truth out of her. How can anyone believe anything the girl says. All she does is lie. I think the mistake the prosecution made is going for the death penalty with no concrete evidence. Whats wrong with life without parole? Hopefully the jury will see through all the smoke and mirrors.

I also seriously doubt his reactin would be to yell at her “Your mother will never forgive you for this!” Really? he is holding his dead, drowned grandaughter, and that’s his reaction? And then of course we segue from that scene to the claim that the power company guy somehow found Caylee’s body..and kept it for months. Ooooooookay…..got it.

lam commented on May 25 11 at 1:39 pmNone of this matters. Either the prosecution can prove she willfully committed murder or they can’t. That’s proof people. Hard evidence. Not conjecture, not your personal opinion, not what seems likely based on photos of the defendant going to a club.
@BWFS – Seriously? She shouldn’t have a legal team? This is America, land of innocent until proven guilty. Everyone deserves a robust defense, no matter what they are charged with, and no matter what the public thinks or feels about their alleged crimes. That’s the only way for the rest of us to have confidence in our legal system.

How did the meter reader have anything to do with it? Who look up how to break necks and cloraform when Cindy and George was at work? How did the hair with the death band get in her trunk? If she died by drowning why would you put duct tape over her mouth and nose?? All I know for sure is that Caylee is singing You Are My Sunshine

If her child drowned in the pool, even if it was due to pure negligence on her part, then explain why/how Casey could take her dead child Caylee, duct tape her mouth, place a heart sticker on it, put her in the trunk of the car for a few days, then throw her body like trash out in some overgrown brush, all the while drinking and clubbing for a month like there wasn’t a care in the world. Then when she couldn’t hide the fact that her daughter was gone, she came up with a crazy story about some woman who was Caylee’s “nanny” and claimed she kidnapped her, and when detectives found this woman and cleared her, she still had many lies to tell, all the while knowing her child was dead. If this” pool drowning” story was true, she could have come clean at any time, and might have served little to no time in jail. But Casey’s parents were in complete denile of the truth, especially her father who was a former cop, and they both lied and backtracked their statements b/c they wanted to protect their daughter. Lets not forget the research that was found on the family computer about making homemade cloroform and neck braking, b/c we all know that its “NORMAL” for the average person to look that stuff up off the internet. All of a sudden, 3 yrs later at trail, her defense came up with the crazy excuse that all of the lies she told was because she was sexually molested by her own father as a child? Excuse my language but GTFOUHWTBS!!!!!!! Casey was a bad kid and spoiled brat who got knocked up and got bumped by her own daughter as the new baby of the family. She was jealous and resentful of her own child and I beileve in my heart that she killed Caylee to be free of the responsibilites of motherhood and to spite her parents who loved and favored Caylee. The only way this could be a true accidental death is if Casey drugged up Caylee w/cloroform, muffed her up with duct tape, and put her in the trunk just so she could party the night away and poor Caylee suffocated by accident. Even then, Casey is a monster of a mother and she should still get the death penalty. I don’t know Casey but I know evil when I see it and Casey is a evil pychopath and is willing to do and say anything to get away with murdering her own child. I hope the jury finds her guilty because this monster is a waste of space on the planet and they should bury her UNDER the jail! RIP CAYLEE…..

She hated her parents b/c they loved the baby so much, n she missed ALL the attention that she use to get from them, so hoping that blaming her dad for things she thought that she might get out of the trouble that she got her self in. I REALLY HOPE SHE ENJOYED HER LAST FEW DAYS PARTYING N i REALLY HOPE THAT SHE GETS A LIFE SENTS WITH NO CHANCE OF PRAROLE, I WISH THAT EVERY MORNING WHEN SHE GETS UP THEY PUT A LIFE SIZE PICTURE ON ONE OF THE WALL THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO LOOK AT EVERYTIME HER EYES R OPEN. N MAY GOD NEVER BLESS HER WITH ANOTHER CHILD.

mad as hell commented on Jul 21 11 at 4:27 pmShe is guilty of killing her baby No mother waits to say her 2 yr old daughter is missing come on I think Casey liked the partying life and she just wanted to go and have fun. she may have loved her daughter but sometimes even though people love there kids or act like they do in some cases when they get to the point of having to choose between child and being free they choose the fun life without thinking. the pool thing doesnt make sense because how did she leave the house with her and then the whole time she is lieing about where the little girl is come on and her the mother is going on with her life as if caylee is at the nannys. this is so stupid and then your going to write a book and the f mother benefits please. another thing if casey claims the nanny has her and there never was a nanny come on caylee was dead I dont care if some is molelasted if it was accident i really believe casey would of open up her mouth you dont stay slience here she claims she loves her daughter if she is let out were in alot of trouble. Caylee needs justice and i hope that she gets it
