Missing Mom In New Hampshire, Abandoned Car Found With 14-Month-Old Baby Inside
Krista Dittmeyer has been missing since Saturday night.
New Hampshire police are frantically searching for twenty-year-old Krista Dittmeyer after her Nissan Sentra was discovered in the lot of the Cranmore Mountain Adventure Park in North Conway, N.H., at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Dittmeyer’s 14-month-old daughter was found in the backseat of the running car apparently unharmed. Dittmeyer is considered missing and endangered — last talked to family members by phone at around 8 p.m. Friday night.
Friends of the Portland native say that she would have never intentionally left her baby daughter in the car for any reason. The baby girl is said to be in good condition and staying with family members.
Conway Police Lt. Christopher Perley told FoxNews.com that he does not believe Dittmeyer left her car willingly:
“From a very early point in the investigation we drew the conclusion that she did not voluntarily absent herself from her car.”
Authorities don’t know why Dittmeyer drove to Conway, but her sister says she had many contacts there. She also says she believes that her sister probably tried to persuade her attacker to leave her daughter alone:
“My sister is very headstrong, but she is also very bold and very honest. That is why I feel she is OK. She’s a very strong person,” Dittmeyer said of her sister, a single mother who works as a waitress. “I believe she is trying to talk her way through this.”
“She would do anything for her,” she said. “It was all so out of character for her. She would never put her daughter in harm’s way.”
Investigators are said to have found blood evidence inside the car. Dittmeyer’s family is offering a $3,000 reward for help in finding her. She is 5-foot-2 , 117 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Although it’s a touristy area, there is still so many wooded areas around there, I imagine it would be a very extensive and tough search if it comes to that.
