network lifetime2 300x225 Casey Anthony Trial: No Lifetime Channel for the Jury? Really?Next month, the Casey Anthony murder trial will begin. It’ll be a tough case for the jurors. The heartbreaking details of the young girl’s demise, attempting to accept all the facts without prejudice, and an odd detail, they must only watch TV from a limited list of TV stations while sequestered. And lawyers are trying to make the list longer, they want to add Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network to the list. Why?

As it stands now, members of the jury will only be able to watch about twenty stations such as Bravo, Cartoon Network, TVLand and the Home Shopping Network, basically channels that won’t include any Casey Anthony coverage or tales with a similar storyline. But there is hope for the Lifetime fans, the lawyers have requested a list of three months of programming to see if there is anything that they wouldn’t want the jury to watch.

But if there aren’t any docudramas about Casey Anthony or a “ripped from the headlines” type programs, odds are Lifetime will stay on the list. And really, anything is better than hot and cold running HSN.
