Donald Trump For President? What It Would Mean To Parents
The talk of Donald Trump running for president is nothing new. It seems that every four years, rumors swirl and Trump publicly flirts with the idea. After appearing on The View this week, he even attacked President Obama, saying that he could unseat him if he wanted to. He snidely said that there was something fishy with Obama’s birth certificate saying that the President must have something to hide. While his rant was ridiculous as Whoopi Goldberg tried her best to set him straight, there are still, believe it or not, quite a few people who say they would get behind a Trump ticket. What would that mean to parents?
Trump is pro-life and against gay marriage which most modern parents would agree is about 10 steps back in progress from where we are now. If ever elected President, his collection of troubled marriages might concern the very people who would back him and the claim to support family values.
As Barbara Walters politely pointed out “You’ve had three marriages, two sort of uncomfortable divorces. Do you think that … would bother anybody?”
“I think the country is doing so badly they want somebody that’s going to help it,” replied Trump. “I think the country [has] never been in a position like it is right now. If I run and win and get the nomination, I definitely think I could beat Obama.”
Trump knows a lot about being in a financial deficit having gone bankrupt in the early 90s. To his credit, he did manage to revive his career and capital. But running a country is just a little different than running a company.
To me, he’s just not presidential material, from his unapologetic over-the-top self promotion to catchphrase “You’re fired.” I couldn’t imagine teaching my kids to revere the President of our country if the President was “The Donald”.
What do you think? Would “The Donald” ever have a chance?

And the only way he could win is if the country collectively lost its mind.

Rosses Marie Melbourne commented on Mar 25 11 at 1:19 pmDonald Trump is a very smart business man.
AND, he knows how to manage people. Also, he will get us out of debt faster than anyone else, GUARANTEED.
Donald Trump is a true Patriot; a man who loves this country and understands how to do business with the rest of the world.
I don’t care how many divorces he’s had.
He knows how to make money, manage money and call in the best of the best to help run the greatest nation on earth. He’s not a liar by nature so get ready citizens of the US…. you will not know how to react to such openness at first,
Donald is not a hot head. He will think through the options & consequences and keep the safety and welfare of the American people foremost on his mind.Do you think Donald Trump would move the oil rigs to Central / South America
leaving thousands of Americans without jobs? PLUS, give Venezuela 3 billion dollars to set up the rigs in their country, so America can buy from them????
NOT A CHANCE.
OBAMA TRULY, SINCERELY, WITH ALL HIS HEART DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES.

Mike commented on Mar 30 11 at 11:14 pmWhat would this mean for parents? I tell you what it’d mean:
1) teaching kids that actions have consequences
2) teaching kids that responsibility is a good thing
3) teaching kids that you have to run life a bit like business, which, big shock to you lefties, doesn’t mean being void of feelings.
4) that kids could learn that there is nothing wrong making money doing something you love
5) that giving back is important, but taking money for redistribution is wrong
6) that these kids wouldn’t be enslaved to the massive debt the U.S. is racking up under Barry.
7) that the kids might actually get to retire at 65, with social security in tact
8) that the kids might have a job in the United States of America if we can use true captialistic principles to get our economy backSo, dear blogger, does that answer any your question?
