Know a mom with clout? Win her an iPad 2 on Babble!
Strollerderby Readers, tell us which parents in your community — online or off — you think have clout, and why. You can nominate your next-door neighbor, your sister or a parenting blogger you admire. We’ll post our favorite entries in a slide show on Babble and let the public vote. The nominated mom or dad with the most votes wins a 16 GB iPad 2 with Wifi + 3G!
We were inspired to do this contest by the new-ish online influence monitor Klout.com. Maybe that’s because Klout is a great way of measuring the reach of Babble’s Top 50 Mom Bloggers. Or because, as far as we’re concerned, “influencer” is just another name for “community leader,” and there aren’t many things we’re more passionate about at Babble than community.
Here’s how to nominate a mom you think has clout — and uses it to better the lives of those around her:
1. Like Strollerderby on Facebook.
2. Upload a photo of your nominee — along with her name and why you’re nominating her — to the wall of our Strollerderby fan page, then click the Share button, as in the photo below:
Update: We’ve announced our 2011 Mom with Clout winner, and you can still read about all of the amazing, influential nominees in our Mom with Clout slide show. Thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our winner!
