Zahra Baker Stepmother Elisa Baker Charged With Murder
Zahra Baker’s stepmother, Elisa Baker, has finally been charged with the girl’s grisly murder.
The New York Daily News reports that the woman has been charged with second-degree murder. The charges took so long to file, authorities said, because they still have not found the little girl’s head. Other parts of her dismembered body have been found around the couple’s home.
Zahra’s father, Adam Baker, has not been charged with any crime in relation to his daughter’s death. Elisa Baker claimed it was her husband who cut up the girl’s body after she had been killed, but authorities say there is no evidence that she was telling the truth.
Elisa was apparently a real-life wicked stepmother, who authorities say abused her stepdaughter before the murder.
Zahra Baker was a 10-year-old cancer survivor who was killed in October. It took her family two weeks to report her missing, during which time Elisa Baker planted a fake ransom note to make it look as if Zahra had been kidnapped. Elisa Baker is facing separate charges for the fake ransom note and for bigamy, after it was discovered that she married Adam Baker without first divorcing her former husband.
Adam Baker said he was also abused by his wife. He described her as very controlling, and said she deluded him into believing Zahra was sleeping in her bed when he came home from work for weeks after the girl had gone missing. Elisa Baker had been married 6 times before.

Are you kidding me, he didn’t want to go look at her or give her kisses? I can see not wanting to wake her but come on, for WEEKS??? And, he never had a day off and didn’t wonder why she didn’t get out of bed? WOW!

Sometimes prison justice can be a little swifter and to the point as compared to a State’s judicial system.
