Stores Open on Christmas Day 2010
It turns out, not everyone celebrates Christmas. And even those that do aren’t always in the habit of taking a day off from shopping.
Retailers get this. And many will open the doors tomorrow, Christmas Day. ‘Tis the season!
But don’t think you can pick up that post-last-minute flat-screen or even a decent scarf. Most of the big boxes, such as Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart, and probably your local malls, take Christmas Day off.
But smaller stores, like Walgreens, CVS and Rite-Aid will be open. So, no batteries? You’re covered.
Also, don’t worry if your in-laws’ percolated coffee isn’t doing the trick. Starbucks, glorious, it-will-do-in-a-pinch Starbucks, will also swing the doors wide open. (Along with lots of other fast food chains.)
Most large movie theatres also open up at least on Christmas Day night, at just about the time you need to get out and get this holiday behind you. So pack up Nana and the (older) kids and go see “Little Fockers.”
